BUSINESS EDITION · $10 ONCE

Install on Windows or iPhone

Purchase once from the $10 Gumroad listing. Applicable tax is calculated at checkout. Keep the receipt as proof of the single-business version 3 license. The same ZIP includes Windows files, an ios folder and these instructions. No application subscription or App Store purchase is needed.

Windows 10 or 11 x64

  1. Download the ZIP from your Gumroad receipt. Save an untouched copy, then right-click and choose Extract All. Run from the extracted directory rather than inside the ZIP.
  2. Open Setup.cmd. The per-user installer includes its Python runtime and installs in %LOCALAPPDATA%\RowsteadBusiness3. Administrator access is not required. Read any Windows security prompt; do not disable security protections.
  3. Open the new Business Edition shortcut. Its dashboard is local at http://127.0.0.1:48751/. Finish the mandatory setup wizard with your offer, audience, goals, business website and intended accounts.
  4. Review the paused starter campaign and drafts. Connect only accounts you own or are authorized to operate. Starting a campaign does not remove platform approval requirements.
  5. Keep the PC on, awake and online for local schedules. Use Stop to pause work. Use Close service before upgrading. Export reports and back up local data regularly.

Windows upgrades and rollback

Stop and close the service before replacing files. The installer refuses to upgrade a still-running supervisor. Preserve the current data folder and previous installer. Follow README.txt for backup and rollback; replacing binaries without the matching data backup is not a database rollback. Customer data and credentials are not included in downloaded updates.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Use a current Safari release on iOS or iPadOS. Open the HTTPS Home Screen app. This is an installable web app, not a signed native IPA or an App Store listing.
  2. In Safari, open Share, then Add to Home Screen. On versions where Share is inside the more menu, open that menu first. Add the icon, then launch it from the Home Screen.
  3. Finish business setup, create a campaign and review its three drafts. Account fields are public handles only. Do not enter passwords, access tokens, payment information or private customer data.
  4. Keep the app visible when checking due work. Share a draft to a native destination, finish publishing there yourself, then record its real public URL and outcome. Canceling a share creates no publication receipt.
  5. Export a JSON backup to Files before removing the app or clearing Safari storage. Browser and Home Screen workspaces may differ. Windows backups and iOS backups use different schemas and do not automatically synchronize.

Host your included iOS copy

Upload the complete ios directory to a static HTTPS host, preferably under /ios/. Keep the HTML, JavaScript, manifest, service worker and PNG icons together. No build process, paid cloud service or access to private Rowstead systems is required. Cloudflare Pages is optional; your existing HTTPS host works. Opening the files directly in Files is not a reliable installation method.

Understand the iOS limits

iOS can suspend apps. This companion has no continuous background service, push reminder server, remote publishing backend or automatic connection to your Windows machine. It runs due checks in the foreground and retains its queue for the next visit. Reliable unattended supported API publishing uses the Windows service while its PC is running. Native sharing and offline persistence still require a physical-device acceptance check; desktop tests are not an iPhone certification.

Troubleshooting

If Windows does not open, confirm extraction, review README.txt and the local service state; do not launch duplicate copies. If the iOS icon opens the browser, confirm the HTTPS URL and Add to Home Screen steps. If offline files are missing, open once online and wait for the shell to load. If storage was cleared, restore your valid exported JSON. If an API write times out, reconcile the destination before retrying.
